Raw Magazine

Brief: Create a magazine about graphic design. Title must be only one word. Only two typefaces to be used. Must be printed in two colours only, including photographs and illustrations. Minimise the use of the injet printer. Think letterpress, screenprinting, handprinting, drawing, etching, etc. Format must be 20cm high by 14cm wide. The paper cannot be white and must be either lighter or heavier than 80gsm. The magazine must have 8 inside pages, plus 4 cover pages.

Final Outcome: A magazine based around homemade graphics, trying to stay away from using a mac and visualizing layout in front of the camera instead of on screen. Its looks into the way graphic design has recently become more experimental by crossing many of the different art forms, but also the way it is dealing with 3D space. Printed using the old photography process called the cyanotype process onto 195gsm watercolour paper.
